New Art Prints

Hello again, it’s been a long time since I posted on my blog, but thought i’d do a little update about my new art prints that are in stock. They are A4 size and are lovely for kids bedroom walls. My little girl loves the lion and she roar’s when she see’s it! I thought the ‘Adventure Awaits’ one is appropriate after the year we’ve all had, what a strange time it’s been. I imagine everyone’s looking forward to a holiday now…including the pets!

I update Instagram quite regularly too if anyone wants to follow me there @justlikesophie.cards

Thought i’d also mention that quite a lot of my card designs are up on the Thortful website, that side of my business has been doing very well during lockdown while most of the shops have been shut. The food shops that sell my cards have also been doing well, so that’s been keeping me busy, along with being a new mum! Do hope you like the new prints. Here’s to spring and brighter times ahead.

NEW Cat, Dog and Plant Stickers!

Hello and a very belated happy new year! The Just like Sophie collection is expanding so i’m no longer just designing cards but also stickers!! I have been testing them out on Etsy and in some shops in Bristol and they are selling really well 🙂 It’s been fun designing them, took me a while to work out how to get all the cut lines right for the printer but got the hang of it now.

I started an Etsy shop at the end of last year, so do check it out if you’d like to see the full collection of stickers, the plan is to get all the cards up there and a selection of A4 prints, here’s the link : https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/JustLikeSophieShop

Have a a lovely evening all x

Arts Trail Weekend

On the weekend of 6th-7th October I opened up my house to the public for ‘Art on the Hill’. I’d spent quite a long time preparing for it as did the design work for the brochure and map. It went really well, better than could ever have expected, sold a lot of prints and cards and met so many lovely people. Friends and family visited and neighbours dropped by. I’m new to the area so it was really great to meet some locals and now I can finally recognise a few people when out and about which makes me feel much more at home here.

Art on The Hill – Windmill Hill Arts Trail Brochure Design

I’ve been busy designing the brochure for this years Art on the Hill – the arts trail in my local neighbourhood Windmill Hill, Bristol. This illustration is for the front cover. I’m really happy with how it turned out! Looking forward to opening up my house on the trail so get the dates in your diary and come pop by and say hello – October 6th/7th 11am-5pm – I’m venue #17 and will be selling prints and cards.

New illustrations now available as cards

The nights are getting darker and colder and so Autumnal leaves and colours are coming to mind. I’ve taken a more minimal approach with these new designs and hope that people will like them. Going to get some cards and larger prints of these made up to sell at the arts trail in October. Hope you’re all enjoying the transition between seasons…New card designs ©sophieswindells

New Cards!

Love this moment when new cards arrive back from the printers. It’s so satisfying to pack them up with colourful envelopes in bags. Just sorting out orders now, will deliver some local orders today by foot, it’s a beautiful sunny day so looking forward to the walk! I’ve got some new Bristol stockists lately – Watershed cinema and Grenville Wick on North Street Southville so do check them out if you pass by. Have a lovely day in the sun!

Flower Power! Hello spring ðŸŒ»

I just love seeing all the beautiful flowers coming out at this time of year, such a wonderful expression of joy and colour. Felt inspired to create this new design which I have called Flower Power…but it really should be called Plant Power! Just sent the design to print, so should be ready in a week or two. Thinking this design would also work well on textiles, can imagine it as a duvet cover print…maybe even on clothing too…what do you think? Happy Springtime all! 🌻Sample Flower Power

Home

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? What is it that makes a place a home? I’ve had this design idea in my head for years and have finally got it down on paper. Think it would make a nice editorial illustration so do get in touch if you hear of any opportunities, would love that. The weathers due to get warmer tomorrow so happy dreaming of summer travel adventures…
